This past week I was able to visit the LeMay Automotive Museum in Tacoma, Washington during my family vacation. It is home to the world’s largest individual collection of cars in the U.S. and was started way back in 1946 by Harold LeMay, an entrepreneur and business man.

For those of us that are into things automotive and automotive-related, it is an interesting and quirky collection of more than 3,500 cars and memorabilia.

I just received notification today that six of my logos will appear in the upcoming 2011 release of LogoLounge Master Library Vol. 3, Shapes and Symbols.

Logo work honored in upcoming LogoLounge 6

I just received word today that the logo I designed for the Port of Long Beach's Seaport Sustainability Symposium will be included in the upcoming LogoLounge 6 volume by Bill Gardner and Catharine Fishel, published by Rockport Publishers. This will be my seventh LogoLounge volume that my work has appeared with nearly 70 honored logos.

Designing for the iPad. Art direction turns a page.

With the recent launch of the much anticipated iPad, there has been a virtual firestorm of commentary, critique and speculation on the potential impact this device will have on our culture. Some are embracing the new technology and can’t wait to get one and others are ‘not drinking from that Kool-Aid’ and snuffing it as a fad item.
